What is Environmental wellness and how to achieve it.
Keeping in mind that overall wellness is a state of complete physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, occupational and environmental well-being… let’s now talk about environmental wellness and how to achieve it.
What is environmental wellness?
Have you noticed how what surrounds you affects you emotionally, spiritually, physically and mentally? Everything that surrounds affects you. People, spaces, and energy all affect our spiritual, emotional, mental and physical wellness.
The environment affects our spiritual, emotional, mental and physical wellness.
There are multiple way to achieve environmental wellness. Many of which can be done on a daily basis. We can try to live in harmony with our planet. Understanding the impact we have on nature and our personal environment, and taking action to protect the world around us.
How can we achieve environmental wellness?
- Connect with nature
Taking nature walks and using a bicycle to get to work. Take your shoes off and walk in the sand or grass. Add some plants to your home or make yourself a garden.
- Declutter
Remove unnecessary items from your home and work space. You will find that a clear space leaves room for a clear mind.
- Eliminate chemicals
We have some control over the amount of chemicals in our environment. Try using natural products for cleaning your home. Eat cleaner by avoiding processed foods, and use natural products on our skin and hair.
- Minimize waste
Compost, reuse, recycle, up-cycle and be more aware of how much packaging is used on the products purchased. Every little bit helps. (zero waste ideas here)
Keeping it simple.
In others be mindful of what you put into your environment. It all matters. Eat clean most of the time. Be aware of the type of people and energy you choose to surround yourself with. Keep your environment and personal space free of clutter. And most of all, take care of yourself and the world you live in.
